Certificate II in Seafood Industry - Fishing Operations (Deckhand) - Enrolment Starts NOW

Date: 30 August 2010 - 8 October 2010 (tentative date, please check with SMIT to confirm)
Cost: Fully subsidized by NT Department of Education and Training (DET) 
Qualification: Certificate I in Transport & Distribution (Maritime Operations)
Certificate II in Seafood Industry (Fishing Operations).

This is a 6 - 7 week (classroom and practice) program.  On completion, full certification will be awarded ONLY if candidate has attended the full program, completed all assignments and is assessed competent.

NOTE: Enrolment on Certificate I in Transport and Distribution (Maritime Operations) will ONLY be accepted when candidate has completed the full program of Certificate II in Seafood Industry (Fishing Operations).

    Apply First Aid (AFD): 23 - 24 August 2010
    Basic Firefighting (FF): 25 August 2010
    Personal Survival at Sea (PST): 26 - 27 August 2010
5. Master 5/Skipper 3: 6 August 2010 - 1 October 2010

1. Marine Engine Driver - Grade 2 (MED 2)

    Note: This is NOT a training course. It is designed to prepare candidates for the

1. To obtain AMSA Safety Certificate (STCW’95), candidate is required to complete all 4 modules which are: Senior First Aid, PST, PSSR and Fire Fighting w/BB
