Certificate II in Seafood Industry - Fishing Operations (Deckhand) - Enrolment Starts NOW

Date: To be advised.
Cost: $800.00 per person (fee for service) 
Qualification: Certificate II in Seafood Industry (Fishing Operations)

This is a 5 week (classroom and practical) program. On completion, full certification will be awarded ONLY if candidate has attended the full program, completed all assignments and is assessed competent.

NOTE: the following timeframes refer only to the classroom work. Additional time for assessments will be required according to individuals.

1. Coxswain: 4 - 20 June 2012
    (including 3 day Cox Engineering)
2. Radio: 17 - 18 May 2012
3. Radar: 29 - 30 May 2012
4. Elements of Shipboard Safety (ESS):
    Apply Elementary First Aid (SFA): 21 - 22 May 2012
    Basic Firefighting (FF): 25 May 2012
    Personal Survival at Sea (PST): 23 - 24 May 2012
5. Master 5/Skipper 3: 2 - 26 July 2012
6. Inshore Coxswain: This program is mainly designed for
    indigenous learners and community sea rangers. Certificate holder is able to
    drive an 8 metre boat in waters within 5 nautical miles and is partial completion
    of full Coxswain. Please contact Helen for further details of course and costs.

1. Marine Engine Driver - Grade 2 (MED 2)

: 4 - 15 June 2012
 
    Cost: $1,500 /p.p. (excluding exam fees)

    NOTE: This is
NOT a training course. It is designed to prepare candidates for the
 
    assessments of marine qualification issued by marine authority only. Candidates
 
    enrolled for this program are expected to have already gained a certain degree of
 
    knowledge and work experience.

18 - 22 June 2012
     Cost:
$600 /p.p. (excluding exam fees)

     AMSA STCW'95 Compliant

Candidates who enrol in this course are required to purchase the    
     Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (Model course 1.21) from Haylock
     Maritime (http://www.haylockmaritime.com.au/) and bring along to class.
     Delivery lead time takes about 1 week to 10 days after payment.
